SUN-FIX Epoxy Adhesive, AQUA
SUN-FIX Epoxy Adhesive, AQUA
SUN-FIX Epoxy Adhesive, AQUA
Product Description
Features
● Provides a fast, durable, and permanent solution for all types of applications on wet, damp surfaces and even underwater.
● Effective for sealing cracks and holes, stopping leaks, and repairing surface damage.
● Suitable for use in fuel and water tanks, radiators, electrical panels, plumbing applications, and swimming pools.
● Once cured, it can be mechanically processed, drilled, sanded, and painted without the need for a primer.
● Resistant to gasoline, oil, esters, saltwater, and most diluted acid solutions.
● Provides excellent adhesion to metal, aluminum, cast iron, stainless steel, rigid plastics, rigid PVC, glass, ceramics, natural stone, marble, brick, and concrete.
● Provides moderate adhesion to fiber-reinforced materials (GFRP, CFRP, fiberglass), wood, plywood, and MDF.
● Not suitable for use with rubber and elastomers.
Surface Preparation
● For optimal adhesion, surfaces must be clean and free from grease.
● Foreign materials and loose particles must be removed, and the surface should be roughened with suitable sandpaper if possible.
● After mechanical abrasion, the surface must be cleaned of loose particles.
Application
● The product is two-component and the components are concentric.
● Cut off the required amount of material.
● Mix both components until a homogeneous color is achieved.
● To ease mixing and reduce viscosity, the putty can be warmed to room temperature prior to application.
● Apply quickly to the surface to be bonded or filled.
● In each application, gaps up to a maximum of 15 mm can be filled; larger gaps can be filled through multiple applications.
● Application time is based on a 10 g mixture at room temperature (20°C).
● Preparing larger quantities will shorten the curing time.
● An increase in ambient temperature accelerates the curing process.
● Temperatures below +16°C significantly extend working and curing times.
● At temperatures below +5°C, no reaction occurs and the mixture will not cure.
