SUN-FIX Epoxy Adhesive, UNIVERSAL VERWENDBAR, 40gr
Easy to use and versatile problem solver epoxy putty for repair, maintenance and construction applications.
Product Description
General Features
● Two-component, high-strength, rigid multi-purpose epoxy repair putty, resistant to temperatures up to 200°C.
● Effective for sealing cracks and holes, stopping leaks, and repairing surface damage.
● Once cured, it can be mechanically processed, drilled, sanded, and painted without the need for a primer.
● Resistant to petroleum, oil, esters, salt water, most alkaline solutions, and diluted acids.
● Provides excellent adhesion to metal, aluminum, iron, stainless steel, wood, hard plastics, rigid PVC, glass, ceramic, natural stone, marble, brick, and concrete.
● The materials to be bonded do not need to have the same structure or properties.
Applications
● Bonding different materials such as glass to wood, wood to metal, or marble to glass.
● Repairing worn threads and grooves.
● Leveling uneven surfaces as a filling material.
● Stopping leaks in water and fuel tanks and plumbing systems.
● Filling holes and repairing cracks in engine blocks.
● Sealing radiator leaks.
● Repair applications in marine vessels, automobiles, caravans, and water pipes.
● Repairing environments such as pools, bathrooms, and aquariums.
● Various maintenance and repair applications in industrial and automotive sectors.
● Repair applications in solar heating systems.
● Thousands of different repair applications you can think of.
Surface Preparation
● Surfaces must be cleaned to ensure perfect adhesion.
● Surfaces must be free from oil, grease, dirt, rust, oxidation, paint, and other contaminants or residues.
● To improve adhesion, surfaces should be roughened with suitable sandpaper if possible.
● After mechanical abrasion, remove any loose particles from the surface.
● Metal parts exposed to seawater or other salt solutions should be rinsed with deionized water and all salts must be removed before application.
Application
● The product is two-component; separate equal amounts as needed.
● Strictly follow the 1:1 mixing ratio; deviations will affect the physical properties of the cured product.
● Mix both components for at least five minutes at 20°C until a homogeneous green color is achieved.
● Apply quickly to the surface to be bonded or filled.
● Maximum gap filling per application is 20 mm; larger gaps can be filled in multiple layers.
● To facilitate mixing and increase flexibility, components can be warmed to room temperature before application.
● Pot life (working time) for 20 g mixture is 20 minutes at 20°C.
● Larger quantities will reduce pot life.
● Higher ambient temperatures accelerate curing and shorten working time.
● Temperatures below +15°C significantly extend working and curing times.
● Below +5°C, no reaction occurs and the mixture will not cure.
● Reaches mechanical load capacity (80% strength) within 2 hours.
● Achieves full mechanical properties (100% strength) within 24 hours.
